Spring Flounder Run: What are you hearing?
Well, the spring flounder run is in full swing and reports are coming in from all over.
So far, I have heard of some really nice fish caught in East Galveston Bay and between the north jetties and the bay on live mud minnows and Gulp! Shrimp.
On Sabine Lake the eastern shoreline has been good as has the area around the Coast Guard Station in the channel and a few nice ones caught around the Causeway.
Lake Calcasieu over in Louisiana has been amazing for flounder the last two years and this spring I haven't heard a whole lot. I know there have been some consistent catches in the ship channel on mud minnows and mullet, but so far anglers have been tight-lipped.
What about all of you? Any good or bad flounder reports?

I have fished three times this spring in the Brazos River. My first trip out was a Friday afternoon on March 20th. I ended up catching 9 flounder with 5 being keepers up to 19 3/4". My second trip out I caught 5 flounder with 2 being keepers. Third trip out I didn't catch any flounder, wind & tide was against us. had a friend that did catch a 15lb jack crevalle. Each trip was fishing about 4-5 miles upriver of the mouth.
