Monday Flounder Update

Greetings fellow flounder fanatics!

It is with great enthusiasm that I enter this week looking forward to what is on the horizon for flounder both from a fishing, conservation and promotional standpoint.

First off the big news is our Sabine Flounder Roundup Sat. Oct. 17. Click here to read the original blog with details. If you would like to fish that event let me know. I am organizing bank fishing and boat fishing teams and we need all the help we can get.

The night before, Friday Oct. 16 we are doing a Flounder Revolution fellowship dinner at Gator Country outside of Beaumont at 7:30 p.m. If you would like to attend please email me at cmoore@fishgame.com. The only cost is whatever you order for dinner. This is a chance for everyone to get some early word on some cool flounder projects for 2010 and talk our favorite fish.

I am proud to introduce The Flatties, the first ever flounder awards. Click here to see more details and get info on submitting candidates.

I recently had a chance to test Gulp! belly strips for flounder and blogged about it here at fishgame.com. As many of you may already know a growing numbers of anglers use real flounder belly meat strips for bait or trailers on jigs. Check it out and let me know if you've had any experiences with it.

I am trying to grow this revolution all along the Gulf Coast and could use your help. If you are not subscribed to this blog, go to the main page, enter your email address and hit subscribe. That way you get all of our update sent to your email. Also, if you belong to any group or post to forums or have a large fishing email list please tell me to send me their email addresses and I will enter them to get our updates. Send requests to cmoore@fishgame.com.  The more word we can get out on flounder the better.

Look for the third installment (yes we got that many questions) of the popular Chester Answers segment and some cool flounder technique videos later in the week.

God bless!

Chester Moore
