Remember Flounder Possession limit is TWO

Just a quick reminder the flounder possession limit for November is two. That means if you fish two days you can only have two flounder. In December it will go back to five. A couple of years ago, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department changed the possession limit on flounder to stop giggers from getting one limit just after dark and another after midnight.

That still stands.

Capt. Steve Walko sent me an email saying some of his friends wanted to argue that the possession limit is double the daily bag limit.

"It clearly states that possession is the same as the daily bag limit of two fish," he said.

And he is right.

Kevin Burns sent in an email detailing he and his friend Wayner's awesome trip last week. Check out the pics below.

"Here are a few of the 38 flounder that we caught Friday in Galveston. We turned the 4 biggest ( I had a 22"& a 21.5" & Wayne had 2- 19.5") that we kept Friday in to Sea Center Texas in Lake Jackson for the flounder hatchery. We also caught five flounder Saturday in Surfside that we turned in the 4 largest (I had a 19.5" &a 17" & Wayne had a 17" & a 16.5") to the Sea Center also."

Awesome fish guys.

Mr. Moore i thought you would find it intresting to know that people are poaching flounder in bridge city. People are gigging and keeping ilegal amounts and size flounder at the GSU bridge areea from bank. I mention this to a warden and maybe im wrong but i thought his reaction was of no concern. Infact his response was probaly so. Maybe you can contact the right source and have them check it out. If there willing to help there going to get the law breakers right there. I myself know that its hard for them to be at the right place at the right time to do so . But if they check it out for a few days they will have success. Thanks and sorry for no name sir
