Monday Flounder Update: Today last chance for anglers in 2009 replica program

Greetings fellow flounder fanatics!

Wow!

The last week has been an amazing one for Flounder Revolution. We had a number of new entries in November's replica program and we now have several anglers in reach of "Flounder Angler of the Year". In fact today is the last day for competition as our season runs March 1-Nov. 30. I will have a special update Friday with our awards for 2009 including the coveted "Flounder Angler of the Year"  and several other categories.

By the way, angler Chris Dial who is currently November's leader in our replica program turned in another nice fish over the weekends so congrats to him. Way to go.

Regular Flounder Revolution contributor Bryan Treadway went out on a flounder catching mission with Shane Bonnot of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and Phil Ortiz of Flounder Pounder. He was kind enough to send along some pics.

Some nice fish for Sea Center.

Using dissolved oxygen helps to keep flounder alive and healthy for the hatchery.

By the way, I promised some amazing photos, footage and news and I will deliver. Next week's Monday morning update will be the BIGGEST ever.

I would like to make acknowledgement of Wayne Pedigo for his efforts to the flounder hathery program @ Sea Center Texas in Lake Jackson. Wayne lives up north & comes down to the coast every fall for the flounder run and stays for at least a month. He loves catching flounder, and that is how we met. This fall he received a permit to collect flounder for TP&W. He collected & donated 37 flounder to the hatchery program this fall. This was done using his own proceeds & equipment. Great job Wayne. See you next fall !
