Angler works on behalf of flounder

Greetings fellow flounder fanatics!

I wanted to share with you today an email and photos from angler Wayne Pedigo of Cleburne. His message is pretty self explanatory and highly admirable. With more and more anglers taking up this cause, there should be no problem for our hatcheries keeping well stocked with flounder. Awesome work Wayne!

God bless,

Chester Moore

Dear Chester,
Seven years ago, an old man and dear friend of mine who worked 63 years for TPWD talked me into going to Rollover Pass flounder fishing. I got your book Flounder Fever. God Almighty, did I get the fever. Told the wife I'm going flounder fishing and didn't know when I'd be home. Stayed down there 3 weeks.  (I have a good wife). It has become one of my greatest passions. I go every fall from 4 to 6 weeks.  Last year a friend, Kevin Burns from Freeport ask me to fish the Lutes Tournament. That's where I learned about the Sea Center.  I started taking them fish after that.  Does the soul good.

Wayne is an extremely nice guy and one hell of a flounder fisherman. We (Sea Center) are very appreciative of Wayne and his fishing buddies (Kevin and Wade) for all of the flounder they have donated over the past two years. With all of the help from CCA, Flounder Revolution, Bryan Treadway, and concerned fishermen like Wayne, it looks like 2010 is going to be a banner year for flounder conservation.

    Thanks Guys
