Got lots of short news bites this week, so I'll spare you a long intro. Here we go...

We're official at the one month mark from the beginning of our 2010 Flounder Revolution replica program season. I'm getting lots of interest from anglers all over the state wanting to participate so I expect lots of 20 plus inchers released out there Make sure and go to our main site, flounderrevolution.com for details. This year the angler who tallies the most points and becomes "Flounder Angler of the Year" will get a $1,500 prize package and a special trophy. Also new this year is our replica being produced by The Fish Mount Store who do an amazing job on flounder. You will all be blown away by your replicas. I spoke last week with Shane Bonnot of Sea Center Texas and he said they are set to make a release of around 10,000 little flounder in the Sabine Lake are in the coming weeks. Last year they were glad to get the 700 they released near Old River Bayou now they are releasing possibly 12 times that many. As you can see they are making HUGE strides in very short time. Just keep believing like I do. Great things are on the horizon.

I will be doing a seminar 2 p.m. Sat. March 6 at the Houston Fishing Show on spring red, speck and flounder strategies. The first 50 people who show up and put their John Henry on our sign-in sheet at the event will be put in a drawing for a special guided fishing trip on Sabine Lake for two. The drawing will be made at the seminar. Be there early to make sure you qualify. Plus, you will not want to miss this event. This will be the first of a new format I am using for seminars that will give you a hint about the big changes I have been teasing since the beginning of the year. I have written at length about the early flounder run in Tide and Texas Fish & Game. This is the beginning of the migration which typically starts tricking in around Valentine's Day. I might just make a trip this week to poke around and look for some holdover fish or see if we have new arrivals in hot spots. We've had some big tides lately and big, incoming tides are a migrational trigger.
