Angler enters 10-pounder into Flounder Revolution Program!

Flounder Revolution history has been made.

Angler Jantzen Miller caught and released a 26.5-inch 10-pound flounder to be the largest flounder ever entered in our online replica catch-and-release tournament. Taken in the Galveston Ship Channel, this is the kind of flatfish that inhabits our dreams.

Look at the spots on that fish. Beautiful!

A proper measuring shows this fish to be 26.5 inches, just two inches shy of the state record's length.

This giant fish was released to produce more of its kind. THIS is what Flounder Revolution is all about!

Anglers remember that even though Miller has a VERY STRONG chance of winning the April replica, all 20 inch or better flounder qualify for the program and get logged into our FLOUNDER ANGLER OF THE YEAR running. Plus, it is important to let those big fish live to breed and produce more big fish.

So far we have two entires in April. The first was Justin Hawkin's beautiful 20.5-incher from Sabine Lake.

Keep the entries coming because they all qualify for FLOUNDER ANGLER OF THE YEAR points and more importantly contribute to conservation of this amazing species.

Congtatulations to Jantzen Miller for catching and releasing the fish of a lifetime, that one will be hard to beat, but there is always next month and the "Angler of Year". Just to think, that fish will live forever on Mr. Miller's wall. By looking at the pics it seems Mr. Miller was bank fishing, if so, whoever said bank fishermen can't catch big fish,,,,WAY TO GO Jantzen

That is an amazing fish. I would give my pinky to catch that one.

Chester when they write the coastal fishing history books they will have to have a whole chapter just about what you have done on flounder. Inspiring others to put back these big flounder is amazing.
