Flounder Roundup at Lutes Marine Saturday

Anglers who want to help catch broodstock for Sea Center Texas' Galveston Bay stocking program have an opportunity this Saturday at Lutes Marine on Chocolate Bayou.

Bryan Treadway has done an amazing job of facilitating live donations of flounder at the monthly tournaments he oversees, not to mention putting on fun, unique tournaments. Check out the flyer below to see how you can participate.

BIG replica entry and Sea Center donation

Joyce Pedigo's fish submitted to Flounder Revolution Oct. 20 was donated to Sea Center Texas. Here she is with the 22.5-inch female that is swimming in the quarantine tank at the state of the art facility. While any flounder over 20 inches is a nice one, check out the width on this one. There is just something about the genetics of those Galveston Bay area fish.

I will check in Monday with another huge update. Now go find you a THUMP!

I was at Sea Center Texas for Bryan Treadway's Presentation at the Brazoria County CCA's general membership meeting when Wayne & Joyce brought in her beautiful flounder. A very fat & healthy fish. A great speciman for the hatchery. Joyce was very excited about her catch. It was almost like she was bringing her kid to school when she brought that flounder in. Fretting over it as it was released in the quarantine tank, making sure she (fish) was OK. Great job Joyce.
