Replica season over, discount offered from Fish Mount Store
Greetings fellow flounder fanatics!

It's hard to believe December is here already which means our replica contest season is over with. On Dec. 10th we will announce our awards for "Flounder Angler of the Year" along with "Flounder Conservationist of the Year" and "Youth Flounder Angler of the Year".
We had more than 100 total entries into the replica program this year which is a gigantic leap over last year and we also had some acts of flounder conservation that are truly inspiring.
Learn all the details in a special update Friday Dec. 10.
Special Flounder Revolution Discount
Ken Laudadio who does an amazing job on the flounder mounts to our replica program from his business The Fish Mount Store approached me last week with a great idea to benefit all of us.
When you order one of his mounts (doesn't have to be a flounder) you get a 15 percent discount by putting in the code word "Revolution" at checkout. Many of you have commented on the mounts that you have seen me bring out to various events this year.
This year is your chance to get one. I think I am going to order me one of his trout mounts since he just happens to have one the same size as my biggest catch. I think I will go drop a hint to Lisa right now.
Thank you Ken!
Natural Spawns
Got an email from Shane Bonnot at Sea Center Texas saying the Galveston Flounder tank has produced some natural spawns and they are expecting the same thing from Sabine. This is huge news. More details on this in another update.
Parting Shot
My father, Chester Moore, Sr. and I donated some fish to Sea Center last week and we brought my daughter Faith along with us for the ride. She was fascinated with the flounder (go figure, huh?) and even told them "bye bye" as they were loaded into the hatchery truck.
This is what it is all about folks.
With the conservation movement for flounder in full swing we will be able to pass on a healthy flounder population on to Faith's generation and beyond.
It's a good time to be a flounder angler.

Flounder Revolution (R)

I was at the Corps of Engineering in Galveston yesterday...Parks and Wildlife truck and trailer was there to collect male flounders...and some females. Not many caught yesterday, did see a 5.5 lb caught. Two eels about four feet long were donated. Day before Monday before the front was the day according to fisherman that was out. They said it was like fishing in a bucket, every cast with finger mullet...it didn't hit the bottom and the flounder had the bait. I was a day late...as usual...

Great stuff Chester. The Fish Mount Store's stuff looks great! Thanks for what you do. I have heard you do a lot behind the scenes no one hardly knows about for flounder. Thank you.
