Back in Action
Greetings fellow flounder fanatics!

It has been a long time since I posted and for that I apologize. I have always prided myself in keeping the lines of communication open and have not since the beginning of 2011.
The reason is I had a significant health scare that ended up requiring a brief surgery. Thank the Lord once they went in last Friday they were to give me a good report but it was tense for awhile. I will spare you the details but it was back and forth to doctors, medicine, etc since mid January.
Now I am back ready to do what I do best which is communicate and teach on southern flounder and also get back on the water to catch some.
Here is what is going on with my flounder projects right now.
Flatfish University (TM) Sold Out!
The April 9 Flatfish University (TM) event at Sea Center Texas is officially sold out. About a week ago the last slots were paid up. This event, entitled Advanced Flounder Strategies & Conservation, will go super deep into techniques, information and philosophy that will help you catch flounder than you thought possible. Within the next month I will be announcing the next session which will deal with another aspect of flounder. Thanks to everyone for making this project so successful from the onset.
Replica Tournament On
Although we have not received any entries yet (we hadn't at this time last year either), the Flounder Revolution (R) online replica tournament is on. From now through Nov. 30, anglers catching, measuring, photographing and releasing the biggest flounder 20 inches or better each month gets a replica of their catch supplied by The Fish Mount Store. For more information click here. The March replica is up for grabs so get out there and catch one!
The replica program is sponsored by the Coastal Conservation Association.
Special Flounder Revolution (R) Discount
Ken Laudadio who does an amazing job on the flounder mounts to our replica program from his business The Fish Mount Store is giving all of us flounder fanatics a cool discount.
When you order one of his mounts (doesn't have to be a flounder) you get a 15 percent discount by putting in the code word "Revolution" at checkout. Many of you have commented on the mounts that saw me bring to various events this year.
Check out his work by clicking here.
The Menhaden Factor
In the March issue of Texas Fish & Game I have what I think is one of my best-ever articles on flounder called "The Menhaden Factor: Flounder's Achilles Heel". Make sure and check it out.
God bless,
Chester Moore

Hey Chester,
Sorry to hear about your health scare. Happy to hear everything turned out OK. Look forward to seeing you next month.
